 Corporate Values and Ethics

Basic Integrity

At Taprobane Holdings integrity is of utmost importance. We ensure business ethics and values at corporate level are maintained at all times with all stakeholders, including customers. Leaders are expected to communicate openly and with transparency both internally and externally, and employees must communicate truthfully at all times.

Employee Management

Employees are the most important asset at Taprobane Holdings PLC . Along with providing respect and fair working conditions, the management at Taprobane is also open to feedback and suggestions while encouraging employee initiative in decision-making. We have also established a fair hiring practice policy and promote a culture of non-discrimination. At Taprobane Holdings PLC we recognize that managing diversity is vital to the success of a organization.

Community Relations

We believe that it is important that a business gives back to the community, therefore we strive to balance shareholder and community expectations in all our activities and decisions. This not only includes allocating a certain level of funds for charitable purposes and community programs, but also includes such things as employee time off for volunteering to serve on and drive community development initiatives sanctioned by Taprobane Holdings PLC.

Environmental Responsibility

We are conscious that the environment protection initiatives need the sponsorship of corporate Sri Lanka and have been a leading force among companies that have responded to government requests for self-regulation on many environmental issues. We also ensure we meet all government regulations and public demand for better environmental preservation and efficiency standards.

For some companies within the portfolio, this means well-established recycling programs that encourage or require employees to recycle whatever materials are common to the company. Others far exceed basic recycling programs and participate in reforestation, biodegradable waste management and energy utilization programs.

Teamwork and Diversity

Another prominent trait of the 21st century business marketplace that we at Taprobane have embraced is the concept of work teams. We include values like teamwork and co-operation in our employee evaluation and incentive structure to indicate the importance of cooperative efforts within the company.

Closely related is the value of diversity. Taprobane Holdings place great emphasis on hiring a diverse workforce and promoting acceptance of differences through team involvement and interaction.

“At Taprobane Customer is King” a much used and hackneyed phrase in corporate parlance. However we have put this statement to practice in our day to day business activities.

"Customer Satisfaction" is key to our business success. We believe in providing the best customer service when dealing with our customers and striving to achieve the best possible risk-return profile for our clientele.

Our employees are advised and expected to deliver the best customer service experience possible at all times and under any circumstance.

We place emphasis in providing the highest possible service quality to all our Investors and customers.

As a business we naturally work towards improving our business growth and profitability in order to meet objectives of our stakeholders.

Social Responsibility

Our businesses monitor and ensure active compliance with the spirit of the law, ethical standards, and international norms.

We embrace responsibility for the company's actions and encourage a positive impact through all operational activities on the environment, consumers, employees, communities, stakeholders and all other members of the public sphere who may also be considered as stakeholders.
